Tom Brock

The guy everyone wanted to be teammates with, this southern gentleman was easy going, hit in the clutch and as popular with teammates and opponents as anyone to come through the league. Always counted on to be a key cog in the middle of the lineup (and always a 3 season guy!) he has amassed outstanding numbers at the time of his induction- a .628 batting average, over 1,200 hits, including 350 extra base hits (with 122 of those being triples, third all time) and over 900 RBIs. His sweet left handed swing sent rockets mostly to left and left center field, but he could pull with the best of them too. He played OF in his early years before moving to mostly first base later. And maybe his best achievement- a .975 slugging percentage, which was the highest all time at the time of his induction.
