Ed is considered to be among the best shortstops (if not the best) to have played in D-3. Fundamentally sound on defense, a great teammate and with statistics that go well beyond the man. With a batting average of over .600, with over 1,700 + hits which include well over 100 Home Runs, at the time of his induction, Ed was an adept base runner and could hit to any field. Ed played on numerous championship teams and was the number one pick in the seasonal draft for over ten years. He ranks at the top in all-time hits and has more than 1,000 runs batted in. Ed started in 2005 and has played continually through this, his induction season.
