Among the best power hitters in D-3 throughout his career, Pat began in 2007 and (as of his induction season) has amassed more than 1,300 hits, including more than 340 extra base hits while maintaining a lifetime batting average over .640. A feared hitter, he gathered walks at counts far beyond anyone else (more than 300 as of his induction season). Pat batted over .800 in several seasons, which few have ever done. No one would ever accuse him of being fast, Pat hit 34 over the fence home runs through 2022. Played short field for most of the years and was always considered a very good glove with a very strong and accurate arm. His swing mechanics are the model to follow, as he rarely swings at a bad pitch. A modest man, an excellent teammate and a joy to be on the field with or against.
