Steve Schlachter

The guy no pitcher wanted to face in a tough spot. A solid Shortstop and Short Fielder for most of his years starting in 2014 (and nearly always a three season player too), he is one of the very few players with a career average over .600 with more than 10 years playing at the time of his induction. A smart and deceptive hitter that could hit to any field at any time you had to play him straight up. While not a fast runner, he still compiled over 200 extra base hits to go with his 1,350+ hits and 750+ RBIs at the time of his induction. While mostly a SS and SF, he would pitch (and pitch well!) if needed. Always of value on the team that drafted him, this quiet and dignified man, he also served on the D3 board and scored many games as well.
