An outfielder when he began in 2009 and for many years a short-fielder he was always as good an athlete that Division 3 has had between the lines. Adept at hitting to all fields and moving runners as needed, he was a fast runner with terrific on field (and managerial) instincts. In addition to outstanding play he managed the Raiders for many years, served as commissioner and one of the best umpires in league history as well. At the time of his induction, he managed for over 20 seasons, had nearly 2,100 total bases (sixth all-time), with more than 1,700 hits (fourth all-time), nearly 240 extra base hits (top 20) and a life-time batting average of .569. He also helped with keeping the history of this league alive and passing it on to the next generation as well as being very loyal to his friends, teammates and the guys who have played for him on the Raiders.
Inducted into The Villages Division 3 Hall of Fame on April 11, 2024
